Marko furious after missing out on title: 'Such a man should be suspended'

Red Bull protégé, Liam Lawson, appeared to be on his way to the DTM championship title, but his rival thought otherwise. Helmut Marko is furious with Kelvin van der Linde and thinks the South African should be suspended.
Spectacle in the last race
It's the last race of the season at the Norisring and Lawson is leading the standings and the race. With a pole for the race, there seems to be no problem, but that is not counting on Van der Linde. Lawson's rival goes for a far too ambitious overtaking move in turn one, eliminating his rival.
''If this was not intentional, then the race management is not good enough to participate in such a championship. There can't be such a misjudgment. This was a completely ill-considered action by Kelvin van der Linde and it wasn't his first'', Marko says opposite Motorsport-total.com.

Van der Linde would later drop out of the top ten due to a problem with his car, but with a second win at the Norisring, Maximilian Gotz was the smiling third. He took the title with three points ahead of Lawson. With that, a title passed Lawson's nose, who as Alexander Albon's teammate had made such a good impression.
''In my opinion this is very unsporting behaviour for which there should be an appropriate punishment. A man like this should be suspended. In Formula 1 he would automatically get so many points on his license that he would have received a race suspension'', the Austrian concludes.
