Masi impressed after first visit to Miami: "It's a proper circuit"

The new additions to the 2021 calendar haven't all been held yet, or we can already get ready for another new circuit in 2022. F1 Race Director Michael Masi visited the Miami circuit next to the Hard Rock Stadium and is very impressed.
Miami is a serious track
There were some critical noises in the F1 world about the Miami GP. The track would become a sort of glorified lap in a parking lot. Part of the parking lot around the NFL stadium is used for the new track.
Masi is able to contradict these critical noises after a visit to the renovated grounds. In conversation with Racer.com, he states: “It is a proper circuit. It's far from a race in a car park."
Construction of track around Dolphins season
The work that still needs to be done on the site is not little. At the same time, construction must take into account the season that American Football League team The Miami Dolphins plays; a logistical matter that Masi does not envy.
"They were doing major work there last week then obviously had to put everything back to a level for the Dolphins game to happen on the weekend and start again the following day.”
