The
FIA carried out almost 2,000 coronavirus tests between the 11th and 17th of September. In total, only one person tested positive in the last week. The
FIA has now conducted over 44,000 tests since the start of the season.
From the Friday of the Tuscan Grand Prix until yesterday a total of 1,938 people have been tested for the coronavirus. Only one person was tested positive. The
FIA states on its
website that fewer tests have been carried out in the past week because
Formula 1 will not be racing this weekend.
More than 44,000 tests carried out
The season is now halfway and a total of 44,101 tests have been carried out. Of all these tests, only nine people tested positive in eleven weeks. Every Friday the FIA presents the figures for the past week.
Sergio Perez is the only driver so far to test positive on COVID-19. The Mexican was replaced by Nico Hülkenberg during the two races at
Silverstone.
