The Williams team has made great strides compared to last year. Alexander Albon has been in top form all season, and has also managed to secure the necessary points for the British stable as a result. The Thai driver tells his team's race preview that he is looking forward to this weekend's race weekend in Singapore.

The differences at the Williams team are wide. While Albon is increasingly scoring points, this is not yet the case for Logan Sargeant. The Thai is in thirteenth place in the championship with 21 points, while his American teammate still managed to score zero points. He is therefore nineteenth in the championship.

'Singapore one of the toughest GPs'

Albon is looking forward to the weekend, in which Williams will take to the track with a special Gulf livery: "It’s an exciting race weekend as it’s kind of a home race for me and a special one for the team; we showcase our winning fan voted Gulf livery for the first race here in Singapore which is going to look amazing under the lights. We return to a street track which is very bumpy and quite uncompromising, with the heat making it one of the most difficult and demanding events of the year."

Sargeant's first race in Singapore

Sargeant is also looking forward to the Grand Prix. It is his first time in action on the street circuit: "I'm really excited to be driving under the lights at Marina Bay for the first time. It’s a track I’ve wanted to race at since I was a kid. It will be a physical race but I’m ready for the challenge."
