The Formula One drivers are looking forward to the
Dutch Grand Prix. After the race weekend at Spa-Francorchamps, the teams are ready to perform at Zandvoort, with Fernando Alonso expecting an exciting weekend ahead.
Last season the Dutch GP returned for the first time. It was an immediate success with the spectators in the stands as well as with the drivers and team owners. Alonso, in conversation with
Speedweek.com, is looking forward to the event and is a big fan of the track.
"I like the steep corner and think it's a unique track. It is a fast track, very different from Spa. A small mistake here is already punished harshly," judged Alonso. "Overtaking is quite difficult, but not impossible. That's why it will be important to get a strong position in qualifying."
Alonso has good race in Belgium behind him
In Belgium, Alonso had to contend with a collision with
Lewis Hamilton. While the Briton was forced to retire due to excessive damage to his car, Alonso was eventually able to continue his race and finish in fifth place, ahead of
Charles Leclerc.
