So far, rain has been mentioned in all weather reports leading up to a Grands Prix in the 2025 season. While that will not be the same as during pre-season testing at the Bahrain International Circuit, there are still some curveball the teams have to tackle in the desert. The Grand Prix will start in the sunset, and will finish by night time in Sakhir. As expected, it will be hot, 27 degrees celsius, that will go down by a single degree during the 57 laps, according to the FIA's weather system.
The track temperature will also go down during the Grand Prix on Sunday. From 31-34 degrees Celsius, a decline will take place to 29-31 degrees.
The race will be mostly completed in the moonlight, with a few clouds passing by.
Wind gusts could also cause some headaches for the teams in the desert. The average wind speed at the start is predicted to be 10-20 kph, which by the end will only be 5-15 kph. In terms of wind gusts, from 20-30 kph, which is marked red at the start, it will go down to 10-20 kph by the end of the Grand Prix.
Oscar Piastri is set to start from pole position, and Charles Leclerc will line up alongside him on the first row of the grid, after George Russell received a one-place grid penalty.
Championship rivals Lando Norris and Max Verstappen will start from P6 and P7 respectively. The
Bahrain Grand Prix will get underway at 18:00 local time (16:00 GMT).
