Yuki Tsunoda is now in his second weekend for Red Bull Racing. The Japanese driver will hope that, unlike in Japan, he will score points this weekend. However, analyst Robert Doornbos thinks it will be another challenging weekend for the Red Bull Racing driver, as he stated in the Ziggo Sport Race Café.
When asked why Tsunoda was not mentioned in the list of drivers who will compete for higher positions, Doornbos replied: "He is doing great for the media. I think in Japan… there was not much more for him. It's actually sad at a debut race, at a top team. Finally, your childhood dream comes true and you don't score points, while your teammate wins. That just hurts. I saw a bit of team building with Max and Yuki playing paddle with their trainers. So, that's a good build-up to the weekend.
"But Yuki just needs to really focus on himself. He knows he can stay in the car. But he will just get beaten by six or seven tenths again this weekend. That's what I'm afraid of.
Tsunoda will have to deal with a difficult car this weekend, just like teammate Max Verstappen. The Dutchman was far from satisfied with the result after FP2. Even Christian Horner sounded the alarm. The team boss of Red Bull Racing considers it impossible for Verstappen to repeat his performance from the Grand Prix of Japan.
