This weekend there is a lot of discussion about the rear wing of McLaren. On images, it was seen that the wing of McLaren would be more flexible than that of Red Bull Racing. Despite that, the British team would be within the rules. Helmut Marko believes that it is up to the FIA to make a decision, although he can't help but make a small note about it.
In Bahrain, Marko, in the presence of GPblog, was asked whether the rear wing of McLaren operates within the rules. To this, the advisor of Red Bull Racing replied: "It’s up to the FIA, but if I see the media from yours, it shows a different picture".
After the answer about the other image, Marko was asked if the FIA should look at camera images of the rear wing. The Austrian did not want to go into this in depth: "That’s up to the FIA. They have to control it." In China, the McLaren was still checked, but the FIA did not intervene. Because of this, Marko reiterates: "Yeah, but they did in China, but it doesn’t seem to have had any effect."
Lando Norris does not think that Red Bull should complain about the wing rules. The Brit stated that the Austrian team should focus on improving the car. He also criticized the people who had an opinion about the wing after seeing the images on social media. According to the McLaren driver, those people have 'absolutely no idea'.
