Daniel Ricciardo has shared his thoughts about his departure from
Visa Cash App RB, after the Australian was replaced by
Liam Lawson. Ricciardo posted his feelings over on
Instagram, thanking his fans and the people who he worked with over the years in the competition.
Ricciardo wrote: "I’ve loved this sport my whole life. It’s wild and wonderful and been a journey. To the teams and individuals that have played their part, thank you. To the fans who love the sport sometimes more than me haha thank you. It’ll always have its highs and lows but it’s been fun and truth be told I wouldn’t change it. Until the next adventure.."
On the photo the driver shared together with the text, Ricciardo can be seen from behind and it looks like he is walking away. Although the Australian does not say it, it seems that after leaving VCARB, his career in
Formula 1 is over. It is of course only a guessing game what the eight-time Grand Prix winner will do next. It is no secret that Ricciardo has a great love for NASCAR, although he never saw himself racing on ovals. However, the American series also has a number of races on 'road-course' circuits, where he could have a limited schedule.
