The 18th race of the 2024
Formula 1 calendar is just around the corner. The teams have been busy preparing for the
Singapore Grand Prix with last week’s thrilling
Azerbaijan Grand Prix having occurred last weekend.
Teams reveal special liveries, but why has Red Bull made a U-turn?
As the Singapore Grand Prix fast approaches, some teams have shared their excitement for the thrilling race by releasing special livery designs. Mercedes title sponsor Petronas are
celebrating their 50th anniversary, while the VCARB car will sport the controversial
double denim fashion trend in a collaboration with HUGO. Red Bull were going to run fan-designed liveries towards the end of the season but had to
announce that they will run with the standard design over fears it would affect the car's weight.
Is there hope for Mercedes?
Both Mercedes drivers impressed over the summer races with wins but the team have been less successful since the summer break ended. Trackside Engineering Director Andrew Shovlin
shared plans for a major update coming in Austin with the intention to bring extra performance until the end of the season.
Red Bull staff restructuring
Following the shocking news earlier this season of
Adrian Newey's departure from Red Bull,
the team is preparing for even further staffing changes. The senior trackside team will be affected, notably with a promotion for
Max Verstappen's engineer Gianpiero Lambiase.
