The
FIA has announced the final starting grid for the
Canadian Grand Prix. This includes several changes from the result of qualifying, as several grid penalties have been applied.
Max Verstappen may start from pole position, but it is not
Nico Hulkenberg's Haas that he will have next to him on the grid. After getting a penalty in qualifying, the German moves back three places, allowing Fernando Alonso to start from the front row.
Lewis Hamilton and
George Russell also move up one spot. Apart from Hulkenberg,
Carlos Sainz,
Yuki Tsunoda and
Lance Stroll also received grid penalties.
Sergio Perez could not take advantage of these and will start the race from 12th place, behind
Charles Leclerc and Sainz.
