Valtteri Bottas can breathe a sigh of relief. The
Turkish Grand Prix marks his first win of the season.
Red Bull Racing is also celebrating with a double podium for
Max Verstappen and
Sergio Perez.
It was an unpredictable race in wet conditions. The intermediates proved to be the right tyre for the whole race, which caused some unexpected situations.
Charles Leclerc, like last year, missed out on the podium and had to settle for fourth, after leading the race for a while.
Lewis Hamilton was on the podium for a while and planned to stay out on the same tyres he started on. However, in the closing stages, Mercedes brought him in, causing him to lose two places and settle for fifth, just ahead of Gasly.
