After
criticizing Grosjean on his silly crash in Baku,
Haas F1 team principal
Guenther Steiner has explained why the American team isn't good enough yet to compete with the top three teams.
Whether it's a blunder in the pit lane or Grosjean crashing during a safety car, something always seems to go wrong for Haas. That's why Steiner thinks that Haas is not yet ready to compete with the best of the best.
"We're currently not getting it done, unfortunately," he told Crash.net.
"Everything has to go right for us in a race, but so far something goes wrong every weekend.
"That's something we have to learn as a new team.
"We have to learn how to fight like a top team."
The bad luck and freak accidents aren't being used as an excuse, however. Steiner knows that it's a sign that the team needs to improve.
"It's not an excuse, it's reality.
"We have to be sharper in the details to get everything together on the weekends.
"If we can do that, I'm convinced that we can end high up the table."
