Forbes released their annual list of the 20 best earning athletes in the world, and in this year's edition, both Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel made the list.
The American magazine had Hamilton ranked at #12, as they reported that the Brit earned $51 million over the calendar year. 2017, of course, saw Hamilton win his fourth F1-title, something that only four other drivers have ever achieved (one of them being Vettel).
Forbes also reports that of the $51 million he earned, $42 million of that number were winnings and salary, and the other $9 million were the endorsements.
His endorsements include Mercedes-Benz, Tommy Hilfiger, Monster Energy, Puma, IWC, Sony, Bombardier, Bell Helmets, and MV Agusta Motorcycles.
Sebastian Vettel is ranked #18, as the German earned a cool $42.3 million in 2017. It has to be said that only $300k of that sum is endorsements, the rest of the figure are his salary at Ferrari and his winnings from the five Grands Prix he's won in 2017.
The only other F1 driver to crack the top 100 is Fernando Alonso, who ranks #39 with $33 million earned in 2017.
