Lewis Hamilton insists that this season's championship is not over following Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix victory.
Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton has dismissed talk suggesting that he's already won the championship but he also said that his Mercedes team are in a "dream" position currently.
The German team went into the race at the Hungaroring, with expectations of
Ferrari that were very high for the race on Sunday.
However, Hamilton eventally claimed victory after the Mercedes man started on pole in Hungary.
Hamilton's win meant that he extended his lead over Ferrari's
Sebastian Vettel to 24 points as the sport goes into its summer break.
The world champion was asked if he was preparing for a championship win.
"Absolutely not," Hamilton told GPFans.com.
"And it is far too early to think about that when you consider the ups and downs we have had this year.
"I don't believe there is ever a time when you think you have got your hand on the championship. We still have a long way to go. What is important is that we continue to keep the pressure on, and work as we have done until now.
"We could have only dreamt to be in the position that we are in now.
"I am really, really happy to be going into the break with back-to-back wins, and that boost will last a long time for our team, and that is encouraging for everyone."
