Lewis Hamilton experienced a special day at Mercedes with his little brother. Indeed, Nicolas Hamilton was given the opportunity to enter a simulator at the German formation to make his dream come true. It was a reason for the seven-time world champion to share the day on Instagram.

His younger brother was born two months prematurely, damaging certain parts of his brain. Despite this, he did manage to secure a place in motorsport. Indeed, he will compete in the British Touring Car Championship with a modified car.

Hamilton is grateful to Mercedes for opportunity

Earlier this year, both brothers decided to petition Mercedes to allow a day in a simulator. Although it took the Germans extra work to make adjustments to the seat, steering wheel and pedals, Hamilton was given the chance to get in.

"He’s always been a fighter and seeing him have this day is an honour," the Mercedes driver revealed. "The smile you see here never left his face. Can’t wait to share more of this special day."

Having met Nicholas Hamilton, I can attest to him being a thoroughly nice guy. Chatted to him for a good while about racing.
Glad to see him get a chance in the sim, even though he's a pro driver in his own right.
Great for Merc to make the adjustments needed so he could use it.
Class.

This is such a great gesture from the team and Kudos to Lewis for arranging.
