Set for Imola debut: Pirelli's new tyres to be used for the first time in Italy!

A new tyre compound is set to make its debut in F1. At the 2025 Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, the C6 tyre will first be used at a GP weekend in the competition.

New Pirelli tyre introduced in Imola

Pirelli, the competition's tyre supplier, have announced the compounds set to be used at the weekends in Miami and Imola.

At the Italian circuit, the new C6 tyre will be used for the first time ever. If the qualifying session will not be rainy, the battle for pole position can take place using the softest tyre available this season.

Together with the C6, the C5 will be the medium and the C4 will the hard tyres at the Imola circuit, the first of two Grands Prix hosted in Italy this year.

The tyre manufacturer also announced the compounds to be used at the 2025 Miami Grand Prix. There, the softest tyre will be the C5, the mediums will be the C4, and the hardest compound will be the C3s tyres in the state of Florida.
