Toro Rosso driver
Brendon Hartley has said he is "not allowed to comment" on a comment he made disputing his team's claim that
Pierre Gasly's car was damaged in the United States last weekend.
Hartley's F1 career is in huge doubt already, with the Nissan e.dams Formula E driver Alexander Albon constantly being linked with replacing the Kiwi at Toro Rosso for 2019.
Toro Rosso issued a report after the race in Austin, claiming that Gasly was limited in his drive because of a damaged floor; something Hartley disagreed with and openly denied.
Gasly and Toro Rosso boss Franz Tost were both quoted in the post-race press conference revealing the problem with the floor - something that the team still stands by.
Hartley was asked after qualifying by Motorsport on Saturday whether he felt he deserved more support from his team, and Hartley said: "No comment." The Kiwi was then asked whether he stood by his remarks, and replied: "I'm not allowed to comment on that."
It looks like Gasly is not at all happy with his team-mate, when asked about Hartley's comments, Gasly replied: "At the moment, he says a lot of things. I don't need to comment anything."
