Red Bull team principal
Christian Horner is extremely proud of
Max Verstappen. The Brit could only praise the Dutchman, and explained where his 2024 title ranks compared to his previous three.
For two seasons in a row,
Christian Horner could be present on the podium of the
FIA Gala to receive the trophy for Red Bull winning the constructors' title. The Briton is also there in Rwanda, however, he has to remain seated, as the Austrians finished third in that championship. Still, thanks to
Max Verstappen, there is plenty to celebrate for Red Bull, as the Dutchman was crowned the drivers' world champion for the fourth time in 2024.
According to Horner, Verstappen did a top job during the season that concluded last weekend in Abu Dhabi. "I think he's been absolutely outstanding this year. I mean, to have achieved what he's done, nine victories, eight pole positions, four sprint race wins, and to have won the championship and some real highlights…," the Red Bull team principal began in Rwanda.
"Obviously, the Brazil race was, I think, one of his very, very best. And we've had a car that's been difficult to tame this year, but he's done that, and he's done an absolutely stunning job. So I think of his four championships so far, for me, this one really stands out," Horner concluded.
