Lance Stroll is having a pretty good season so far. He has a competitive car, and is currently eighth in the championship. However, he has not yet managed to score a podium, unlike his teammate Fernando Alonso, who has been on the podium three times.

In Baku, the Canadian driver did not manage to go beyond seventh place in the main race. In the sprint race, Stroll managed to score the last point, finishing eighth. The Aston Martin driver knows why his team struggled in Baku, telling the press conference for the Miami Grand Prix: "I think Baku was one of our more difficult tracks, like just coming into the weekend looking at te layout of the track, with a lot of long straights, and we haven't been particularly competitive on the longer straight. On paper it looks like Miami could be a little better for us."

Podium for Stroll?

In 2020, Stroll took his last podium in Formula 1. In 2021 and 2022, little was expected of the Canadian when it came to podiums, but those expectations are back now that the Aston Martin is competitive. The Aston Martin driver himself is not very worried about it: "I definitely want to be on the podium, but I just gonna keep driving my car as fast as I can. My job behind the wheel stays the same."
