Pierre Gasly is the man in shape at AlphaTauri, which means that there is even talk of a possible return to Red Bull Racing. With Daniil Kvyat it's a lot likely thaat is a chance that this will be the last Belgian GP for the Russian.
In Red Bull's programme you are never really sure of your place. Gasly and Kvyat know this better than everyone else, as they were both promoted to Red Bull at an early stage, but were also relegated to AlphaTauri for a season. Kvyat was even thrown out of F1 altogether, but was given a second chance.
This resit does not reward Kvyat very well in 2020, because he's currently been beaten big time by his teammate Gasly. ''I am reasonably satisfied with the performance of the car this season, but we should have a weekend without problems. That was not the case in the past races, but without problems we can also achieve better results'', Kvyat said in the AlphaTauri preview.
For Gasly it all runs a lot better. ''Social life is not much due to the coronavirus at the moment, because we have to be very careful. However, I am not complaining, because I love my work. We are now going to beautiful circuits like Spa and Monza again. Spa is my favourite circuit. I won my very first race there in Formula 4 and also won the main race in GP2 in 2016'', the Frenchman concludes enthusiastically.
