Ferrari have confirmed that Charles Leclerc will indeed incur a grid penalty for the United States Grand Prix. The Monegasque will be put back ten places on Sunday.
Several sources knew on Friday that Leclerc would incur a grid penalty in Austin. During the third free practice session, Ferrari confirmed that the driver will receive two new parts. The team has replaced the Monegasque's ICE and turbocharger. Carlos Sainz was also rumoured to be collecting a grid penalty, but the Spaniard is not on the list.
Fernando Alonso also gets five spots grid penalty after changing the ICE. The Spaniard gets the same penalty as Sergio Perez and Guanyu Zhou, who already changed parts on Friday.
