Leclerc: 'That's made it all very interesting'

Ferrari is one of the surprises of the season. Where the Italians have had a difficult period, this season they are able to occupy third place in the constructors' championship.

This is largely due to the good performance of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. The Spaniard had a difficult start to the season but managed to beat his teammate in the world championship during the course of the year. However, with three points difference, both drivers are barely ahead of each other.

Leclerc's early days at Ferrari

Leclerc has been part of Ferrari since 2019 and experienced a difficult initial period. "I felt comfortable from the start," he told Beyond the Grid. "I still had a lot to learn about the relationships within the team, but I felt like I knew them right away. It took me almost a year to understand exactly the dynamics of the team, how you deal with problems, how you react to difficulties."

"Overall, I think I've grown as a driver and as a person. I definitely feel like a better driver than when I got here. Going into detail after every difficult race, but also after every good race, has made it all very interesting. I'm learning every day."
