Lewis Hamilton believes that Sebastian Vettel will bounce back from his poor performance in Bahrain. Vettel spun whilst battling Hamilton for position causing many to claim that the German cracked under pressure. Whilst yesterdays race was clearly a massive loss for Ferrari, there is a belief that they will come back stronger and be real contenders for the championship this season.
"Sebastian is a true world champion, a great athlete and he will recover," Hamilton said to sports mole.
"Just because you are a multiple world champion, it doesn't mean you are not going to have off-weekends. It happens to all of us.
"If you look at his career, he has had stunning performances that far outweigh his weaker races. For example, when he has spun, they are minuscule on the status he has accumulated and created in the sport."
Vettel is going to have to really up his game as Charles Leclerc has established himself as a dominant threat to the championship this season. The German will have his work cut out maintaining his position as Ferrari's number 1 driver.
