Lewis Hamilton says that Ferrari have a "jet mode" after Charles Leclerc secured a fourth pole position in a row during qualifying for the Russian Grand Prix.
Leclerc took his tally for the season to six, and the Ferrari's speed on the straights is what has brought them back into the fight for wins following a disappointing first half of the season.
Hamilton snuck into P2 after a brilliant final lap and told Sky Sports' Jenson Button after qualifying: "It was a tough qualifying session because these guys (the Ferraris) have some crazy speeds on the straights.
"They go to another level - jet mode. I gave it everything I had at the end and I'm so glad it came together.
"I wasn't expecting to get on the front row so I'm really happy.
"They have that power so we have got to try something. I think the team have done a good job for putting us into that position."
