Kevin Magnussen is one of the revelations this season. After an unexpected return to
Formula 1, he has already achieved several top results with the Haas. Perhaps this has opened the door for the Dane to make a transition to a top team?
Missed the F1
In an interview with
TheRace Magnussen tells us that he would very much like to become world champion. It is a dream he has had since childhood. At the same time, he is a realist.
"But I kind of let go of that dream last year. And it was kind of easy to do, and kind of easy to move on." Meanwhile, Magnussen is mostly happy to be racing in
Formula 1. During his year on the sidelines, the veteran realized how much he loves the sport.
“I wasn’t happy last time I was in F1, actually. I’m happier now, as a person overall. As a sportsman, not so much, but as a person more happy."Second youth
Meanwhile, Magnussen is in his second youth. He has already accumulated 15 points and is almost consistently fast. Who would have thought that a few months ago? Not the Dane himself: "And I just thought, who is going to take me? They’ll go with these young drivers who they’ve invested in for years", he laughs.
