Lando Norris would like to see Max Verstappen trying out his car, after the Dutchman's previous comments. The Briton would be ready to see the disappointment on Verstappen's face.

According to Max Verstappen, the MCL39 is clearly a better car than the RB21, and the previous season, he claimed he would have also been a world champion if he had driven for the Woking-based side.

"I don’t mind, he can say what he wants. I don’t care, honestly. Everyone can say what they want and believe what they want," Norris began to F1 TV in Bahrain.

"I believe both Oscar and myself are good drivers. He (Verstappen) is maybe better at some things but he is not better in every area."

I have a lot of respect for Max, but I also know some things are not true. He can come and test our car any day that he wants and I’ll be excited to see the disappointment on his face after he gets out,” the Briton concluded.

Only a point between the two rivals

Entering the fourth round of the season in Bahrain, only a single point separates Norris and Verstappen in the drivers' standings, with Oscar Piastri sitting in third 13 points behind his teammate.

Norris won the season-opening round in Australia, then Piastri won in Shanghai before Verstappen won his first GP of the season in Suzuka. There, Verstappen also claimed he would have dominated the Japan GP in a McLaren car.
