McLaren experienced a dramatic start of the season. The British team hoped to be among the top teams prior to the race year but Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo had to settle for a fourteenth and fifteenth place. Nevertheless, Norris remains confident of a good outcome.
Norris managed to compete on several occasions last season with Hamilton and Verstappen, who were fighting for the world title at the time. His hope was to break through for good this season, but the performance of McLaren's new car did not look good in Bahrain.
The driver did everything he could to get the most out of the car, but with a fifteenth place finish he was left without any points. This weekend, however, he gets the opportunity to recover. Norris is keen to do so, he says on McLaren's official website.
"We're going into this weekend with our heads held high. Bahrain was a tough one, but we’ll keep moving forward as a team and take everything we’ve learned from last weekend to make this one the best we can," stated Norris, who remains confident. "We know what we’re capable of achieving so we’ll give it our all and leave nothing on the table in Saudi Arabia."
