On this day in 2004, the first F1 Grand Prix in the Middle East was raced, in Bahrain.

The first Bahrain Grand Prix was dominated from start to finish by Ferrari.

In qualifying, Michael Schumacher and his teammate Rubens Barrichello qualified in first and second on the grid.

And by the end of the race, this had not changed with Schumacher winning the race to extend his unbeaten start to the season, after he also won the first two races in Australia and Malaysia. Barrichello came second for Ferrari and Brit, Jenson Button rounded off the Top 3.

The Drivers and Constructors Championship tables were also dominated by Ferrari, with Schumacher and Barrichello taking the top spots. These tables were replicated at the end of the season with Schumacher winning his 7th and final championship.

Can Ferrari replicate this form 14 years on with a Vettel and Raikkonen 1-2?
