The Power Rankings of Formula 1 after the Hungarian Grand Prix are in and this time there is not one, but two winners. Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton both achieve a final mark of 9.0 and thus achieve the highest score.
Both Verstappen and Hamilton scored a 9.0 for an impressive Sunday. Both drivers had a disappointing qualifying, with Verstappen starting from P10 and Hamilton from P7. Both drove a nice race to eventually come over the finish line first and second.
On P3, with an equally good score, is George Russell. He scored an 8.8, but this was mainly due to his sensational first pole position of his career. During the race on Sunday, the young Briton fell back a little, but he can look back with satisfaction on third place.
The top five is rounded off by Lando Norris on P4 with an 8.4 and Fernando Alonso on P5 with a 7.8. In the sixth and seventh positions, we find Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc. They score 7.4 and 7.2 after a poor weekend, in which they both had hoped for more points.
After thirteen races, Verstappen is still in the lead when it comes to averages this season. Verstappen now stands on an 8.8, Leclerc finds himself back on P2 with an 8.3 and Russell is the man on P3 with an 8.0.
False nd unacceptable decision to put lazy princess alongside Max on the first place.
How can they be level ? FFS who writes this skat ! Shame on you whoever you are .
It's a ranking based purely on driver performance with machinery factored out.
The constant push by the Brit media and the race weekend Brit sky commentators to keep the Hamilton dream alive has become comical. Obviously part of the 18% who voted Hamilton driver of the day last Sunday. If France was anything to go by imagine what they will come up with if Hamilton's luck actually gets him a win. Oh dear.
A hamster with a hand... interesting. Why do you read and watch British media and then complain that it's biased. Of course it's biased. Are you simple? The media in every country is naturally biased. Get over it or just continue banging your head against the cage.
Hmm, both had a good race, sure. Max was stellar, Hamilton solid. The continuous praise of everything Hamilton does, while I'm not THAT impressed, feeds to idea he is overhyped, part of that prestigious, elite Mercedes vibe people like to identify with, especially after all those easy years, with no real contenders. Hamilton to me is rather a celebrity than a sportsman, by now at least, though obviously he didn't get to where he is by being mediocre. He's more driven by fame than accomplishments, while the two are connected, especially when being hyped. Ah, and the stance and looks of his pictures, getting away with making fun of his cousin, the mind games, missing the gala, the piercing bit, the sound bits to rather make you feel a certain way about him rather than his thought procesd, yeah, not my guy. Max, Alonso, Leclerc are my guys.
Let the bloodfest begin.....rules are to fight to the death RB vs MB.tribes...
Again I have my doubt about how objective these scores are if Lewis and Max score the same. Yes, Lewis had a excellent run on Sunday, but he was clearly beaten by Max. More positions gained and finished first.
I don't know who the 5 panel judges are but the scoring is meant to be based purely on driver performance with the machinery factored out. Given that MV had a brand new engine that would bring them closer but I would still just give it to MV despite his spin. Still it gives the anti-Brit/Merc/LH children something to whine about.
It should, but to be honest it some time feels like some drivers just get half a point for fun and no due to the performance.
Perez p3, almost p2 in the standings yet isn't even on the power ranking board. They really hate Perez more than max for some reason!
for sure, luckily this power ranking means as much as, euhh... nothing
