After an exciting qualifying session in
Imola, the starting grid for the Grand Prix of Emilia Romagna can be made.
Valtteri Bottas' Mercedes will start from first place on Sunday, followed by his teammate
Lewis Hamilton.
Max Verstappen completes the top three and will therefore start behind Bottas.
Behind Verstappen is
Pierre Gasly, who managed to get his AlphaTauri to P4 and can start next to his former teammate.
Daniel Ricciardo and
Alexander Albon are on the third row. The top ten is completed by
Charles Leclerc,
Daniil Kvyat,
Lando Norris and
Carlos Sainz.
The first driver to have free tyre choice is
Sergio Perez.
Esteban Ocon will also hunt for points on new tyres. Behind that,
George Russell has again completed a strong qualifying session and therefore he can start from 13th place.
