Qualifying for the
Zandvoort Grand Prix was again won by
Max Verstappen. The reigning world champion gets to start the race from the most favourable position.
Sergio Perez wishes he could have said the same, but he finished in seventh place and has to start the
Dutch Grand Prix from the fourth row of the grid.
Verstappen runs out ahead of Perez
Not only is Verstappen running ahead of his teammate in the mutual qualifying duels, but
Alexander Albon also finished above
Logan Sargeant again. The man who went from hero to schmuck in about 15 minutes' time is 13-0 behind against Albon. Painful statistic for the American, who starts from tenth place in the race.
Lewis Hamilton surprised friend and foe by flying out as early as Q2. The seven-time world champion will start the
Dutch Grand Prix from 13th place. Hamilton saw teammate
George Russell achieve the third time. Thus, Russell creeps a little closer to Hamilton.

*If drivers cannot take action in a session due to technical problems, we do not count this as a direct win by the other driver. So qualifying in Saudi Arabia does not count as a point for Perez, just as Magnussen does not get a point for Spa.
** If drivers are disqualified due to technical problems, we do not count this as a direct victory for the other driver. So qualifying in England does not count as a point for Zhou.
