Daniel Ricciardo has said that he expects his team principal Christian Horner to give both him and his teammate Max Verstappen a speech before the Spanish Grand Prix in order to prevent a collision between the two from happening.
The two Bulls collided in Baku after fighting all race long, ending both of their afternoons without points. That is big damage to both the drivers in the championship, but especially for the team in the constructors' championship, as it was already the second time the Bulls scored no points on a weekend in four races.
Ricciardo and Verstappen start next to each other again on the grid in P6 and P5 respectively, which could lead to more drama, potentially.
“For sure, I expect Christian to definitely have a word with us before the race," Ricciardo told PlanetF1.
"For the next few races, until things calm down and he sees proof that things have calmed down, he will definitely talk to us.
"We are in a difficult position because we want to not only beat each other but try and attack Kimi [Raikkonen] or whoever is in front of us.
“Look, we’ve attacked before and kept it clean, so we just need to do that.”
