Logan Sargeant is heavily tipped to miss out on a seat for the upcoming year in the current driver market, but even there were news about him getting replaced by Andrea Kimi Antonelli already in 2024. The American is yet to score a point in 2024 and has only one so far in his career. However, his focus is only on what is happening at
Williams currently.
Talking to GPBlog and others, Sargeant focused on the task at hand rather than on silly season itself: "At the end of the day, I'm happy. I'm focused on my job. I spend what time I need to do with the engineers. I look at my driving, I look at the data across cars and I'm here to drive, here to do my job best I can, and that's what I do."
The American also underlined he has been in a similar situation before, but he found his way out of it. "If you look back to F2, I had nothing, and obviously, I was helped very fortunately in that situation. I guess that's somewhat sort of paving the way for me. I mean, at the end of the day, it's just about going out and performing well."
Sargeant says his contract is still there for '24
Sargeant believes his current contract can give him enough space to still prove himself. "Well, I can't control timing, so it is what it is. I have plenty of rounds to go. It's just you've got a certain period to kind of prove yourself. I have a contract and I'm here to drive."
