Sebastian Vettel was left disappointed with his and Ferrari's efforts in qualifying that left him fifth on the grid for tomorrow's race in Hungary, and his teammate Charles Leclerc one place ahead in fourth.

The Ferrari pair had good pace in the first sector but couldn't maintain it over a full lap and were unable to compete with the scintillating pace of Max Verstappen and the Mercedes duo of Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton.

After the race, Vettel praised Red Bull's downforce. He told Sky Sports: "It's down to downforce. I don't think they've found anything, they were quick already the weeks before coming here."

However, Red Bull do have weaknesses, and Vettel is hoping that he can take advantage of that, adding: "Obviously they have a bit of a disadvantage on the engine side, but coming here, the engine is not important, so we knew they'd be strong and we knew Mercedes would be strong, but obviously we can't be happy sitting further back and not being able to intervene in that fight.

"Hopefully the tyres can melt, and we end up with more stops than one, otherwise it will be difficult."
