'Ten world titles and 150 victories are certainly possible for Hamilton'

Lewis Hamilton broke or equalled all records that mattered last season. There is therefore a bit of an atmosphere that he is approaching the end of his career, but Martin Brundle stresses that it is far from over for Hamilton.

"His eyesight, his reactions, nothing has fallen away," says the analyst and former F1 driver to Sky Sports. A relapse that he knows from his own career in recent years and that he also seems to see with Sebastian Vettel. Because Hamilton is still at the top of his game, the records could be extended considerably.

Hamilton will continue for another three years at least

"Who do you think will have the most resources and the best package in 2022? Or even in 2026," says Brundle, referring to the capabilities of Mercedes. "I think that 10 championships and maybe 150 race victories will be certain to happen.

"My feeling is that he'd rather stop a year early than a year late. He's not going to hang on until the bitter end for a few more dollars, or just to be a Formula 1 driver, and nor will he need to. He's obviously got other ambitions in his life, but I can't imagine why he would stop in the next five years, or certainly three. Why would he?"

..... maybe 8 WDC and 110 wins, up till end 2021 but probably that’s where it will stop if Mercedes replaces Bottas with a more competent driver in the form of George Russell in 2022

Ah. martin brundle thats too less of a prediction. You being hammy cheer girl that prediction doesn't suit you. May be 200 wins and 20 championships because lewis is ageless that's how you guys project..Come on biased shit commentators.

My question: Let's suppose RBR's car turns out to be the best next season and beats Mercs. What will your comment to the Hammy fans when they say: "It's the car! If you put Lewis in that car he would win". What would you say then? Just curious.

krishsud 01 January 2021 at 04:55+ 4806

It depends. If that RB car is 1 sec faster then absolutely you are right. Not hammy anybody can still win. May be albon, magnussen as well. Its the same comment atleast from my side..Let me tell you again
1)If cars are on same level or say within a tenth of each other and if a driver wins the title fighting for whole season then its driver who makes difference not the car.
2)If your car is 2 tenths slower to the best car and the driver in the second best car wins title or atleast he is in fight till the last race then still its driver who is making difference and also this driver is much better than the one in point a.
3)Now u have a car which is a sec faster than others and then you beat ur teammate who is average and you win the title.Yes you are still a champion..appreciated ..but shouldnt be overrated.
Simple ex:Vettel a 4 time champion who was called the best in RB days and was projected as a future record breaker of all wins and championships .Then u get a ricciardo and then u again get a Charles and then u luk overrated.
