Max Verstappen dominated at Spa-Francorchamps and was voted Driver of the Day. As readers of GPblog, you were also allowed to vote for your favourite, but the result is hardly surprising.
No one can deny it: Verstappen surpassed the rest of the Formula 1 field to post perhaps the most dominant win of his career. The Red Bull Racing driver drove a perfect race, starting from 14th place, in which surviving the first lap was the biggest challenge. It should come as no surprise, then, that the championship leader was also voted the GPblog Driver of the Day. The Dutchman received 86% of the vote.
That leaves very little for the rest, but it does reveal whose performances were also appreciated. Alexander Albon finished second in the poll with 9% of the votes. The Williams driver produced his strongest qualifying result of the season and defended his place in the points like a lion. Fernando Alonso gets 4% of the vote.
