Pirelli has revealed the tyre compounds which will be used in the French Grand Prix, which is set to take place in late June.
As in Australia and Azerbaijan, the ultrasoft will be used alongside the supersoft and soft tyres. Pirelli are avoiding missing a step as witnessed in China, which led to a lot of strategic uncertainty.
One set of supersofts and one set of softs must be available for the race and one of them must be used at some point in the race, while the ultrasoft is the assigned tyre for Q3 in qualifying.
The race in France, marks the return of F1 to France for the first team in 2008. The race will also be the first to be held at the Le Castellet track since 1990.
The French Grand Prix is the first of a triple-header, with the Austrian and British Grand Prix following in successive weeks.
