Max Verstappen has won 10 consecutive races in Formula 1. The Dutchman surpassed Sebastian Vettel's best streak of nine, set in 2013. Verstappen is currently writing history, and these are the races he won during the streak.
Verstappen is seemingly unbeatable in Formula 1, though his teammate Sergio Perez, Ferrari, Mercedes and McLaren are getting closer on certain tracks. Verstappen has yet to win the Singapore Grand Prix in his career, and that is the next race.
Verstappen was already at the top of the championship, but Perez was trying to lay down a marker. He himself wanted to fight for the World Championship, and he was starting to prove himself at the start of the season. The Mexican qualified on pole for the Miami Grand Prix, with Verstappen starting down in P9. That wasn't to the Dutchman's detriment, and he overtook Perez for the lead on lap 20. He controlled the race from then onwards and the rest of the F1 calendar.
Red Bull seemed beatable in Monaco. Fernando Alonso had been their closest rival in the season's early stages, and the Monaco street circuit favoured Aston Martin's car. But a phenomenal sector three in qualifying put Verstappen on pole. He controlled the race from there. In fact, Verstappen didn't lose the lead in an F1 race through Spain and Canada as well.
Verstappen consecutive laps in the lead ended in Austria, but not for long. Verstappen fought off Ferrari to win his fifth consecutive race and match Hamilton's best run. At Silverstone, Verstappen secured pole but lost the lead going into the first corner. Lando Norris couldn't keep up the pace and saw Verstappen regain the lead and zoom into the distance. The Hungarian Grand Prix featured another dominant race where Verstappen led every single lap.
Even a five-place grid penalty couldn't prevent Verstappen from winning at Spa. In front of his home crowd at Zandvoort, Verstappen had to battle a wet-to-dry qualifying session, two heavy rain showers and a red flag. It didn't phase Verstappen, and he equalled Vettel's record. Carlos Sainz put Ferrari on pole position for their home race in Italy, but Verstappen had the better tyre management and, therefore, race pace to win 10 races in a row.
