Max Verstappen has pledged to leave a “few millimetres more” between his team-mate this weekend. This comes after their crash last time out in Baku.
The collision cost Red Bull at least 20 points as they were scrapping for 4th place.
Christian Horner and Helmut Marko continue to refuse to leave out team orders, and the Dutch driver is pleased about this.
“That’s not how Red Bull is - that’s why I like the team,” said Max.
“We will race but with a little more margin - so I guess with a few millimetres more margin!”
His fellow team-mate,
Daniel Ricciardo was also pleased to see team orders remain omitted from the Red Bull garage. The Australian won the previous race in China, but this high soon came crashing down.
“The first thing I said afterwards was that I still want to race,” said Ricciardo.
“So we’re still going to race, but cleaner, with more respect.”
