What's the weather forecast for the Austrian Grand Prix?

The rain never hit the circuit whilst action was on track on Friday but, according to Weather.com, rain poured down on Saturday and the forecast for rain in the afternoon on Sunday is only at a 19% chance in Austria. Rain is forecast to fall as early as Tuesday and is set to continue on/off until the conclusion of the race weekend.

Formula 1 drivers took to the track for the first time this year on June 30. It is a sprint race weekend, so they only got 60 minutes of practice before the first meaningful session of the weekend rolled around. In the late afternoon, drivers pushed in qualifying, which formed the grid order for Sunday's race. As aforementioned drivers avoided the rain whilst on track yesterday, but in the evening, it rained continuously.

On Saturday, July 1, F1 teams participated in a mini-qualifying session to determine the grid for the sprint race. That sprint race took place in the afternoon. The chance of rain improved to 100%, creating a major change in track conditions for the drivers. On Sunday, temperatures remain around 24c, and the possibility of rain is at the 19% mark.
