Friday in Belgium is over. During the first and second free practice sessions for the Belgian Grand Prix Mercedes doesn't seem to be so dominant and Max Verstappen is even a challenger in qualifying in the Red Bull Racing car. What time do you have to turn on to catch all the action?
The Grand Prix of Belgium is normally a fine hunting ground for Mercedes. With the long straights and the power it takes, Mercedes has been the big favorite since 2014. While the Ferrari engines made a huge leap forward last year in Belgium, they are now all in the back.
In the first two places, however, we won't find a Ferrari engine during the second free practice, nor a Mercedes engine. Verstappen takes P1, but perhaps even more surprising is second place for Daniel Ricciardo. Renault is doing well on one lap. Reliability remains one thing though, because not much later Ricciardo fails.
On Friday, however, you won't score any points, so we'll have to wait for qualifying on Saturday. This can be followed live at GPblog.com from 13:00 and will start at 14:00 UK time. Will Mercedes dominate again with the famous Party Mode or could Verstappen spring a surprise?
