Formula 1's Silly Season may not be as exciting as other seasons, but at Williams, there is always a spot available for next season. Logan Sargeant has a contract which expires at the end of this season, so the question is whether the British team thinks the American driver is good enough to continue in this seat in Formula 1 again next year.
Sargeant is not sure of his seat in the 2024 Formula 1 season, but have negotiations begun yet? "From my side, I’ve been kept out of it if there are any. I don’t want to put any energy into something that’s honestly not going to help me when I get on track," Sargeant let RaceFans.net record.
The American himself would love to race in Formula 1 for Williams again next season. " I hope so," says Sargeant. "I’m definitely working hard on and off the track to make something happen. From my side, I’ve seen a lot of good throughout the European leg of the season – a lot of progress. I think if I clean things up, I won’t be far from where I need to be. So we’ll see."
Williams is performing pretty okay this season, given the performance of Alexander Albon, who has already managed to score 21 points in the current Formula 1 season. Sargeant did not manage to score any points yet but was pretty close on several occasions.
