Williams as a team is a shadow of what it used to be, but team owner Claire Williams insists that the team won't disappear out of the F1.
Claire Williams, daughter of the legendary Sir Frank Williams, already made clear that Williams won't be switching to purchasing parts from manufacturers, as the team want to keep their independence from other teams. Haas F1 are one of the teams that do purchase parts from others. They can change and tweak the parts they receive all they want without paying too much to the manufacturer.
"There's still a lot of fighting spirit, even with all of the results we're getting," Williams said.
"We have a plan and a goal and we'll keep working at that.
"If people think that we'll go down like Tyrrell, they're mistaken.
"Over my dead body."
Williams does realize that the team probably won't see immediate results, which will be tough for everyone.
"It's a bitter pill to swallow, but you have to adjust your goals to your results," she said on the official F1-website.
"It's not going well, but in the end, we are here to win races.
"As long as we have ambition, I know that it'll be alright."
