Mercedes and Red Bull Racing are in contention for the world title this season. However, Toto Wolff feels little excitement towards the end of the season. The team boss of the German outfit tells Laola1.at that the fight is nothing new for him.

The Austrian has won several world titles with Lewis Hamilton in recent years, so he is used to that feeling by now. This season, however, he has Max Verstappen to contend with, who is currently ahead of the Briton. Wolff, however, remains relaxed looking forward to the next few races.

"It wasn't long ago that Sebastian Vettel was a competitor in the Ferrari who was ahead even before the summer break," the team boss stressed in the interview. "In that respect the current situation is not new for us. Even if it is blown up into a battle royal: for us it is business as usual."

Battle between Verstappen and Hamilton

With five races to go, Hamilton is twelve points behind his rival. "We have a good car now that we understand better than before. Our advantage is that we don't have to prove anything anymore. That makes it easy for us to act. I don't know what it looks like at Red Bull. We have built up enough confidence for this situation."
