The calendar has recently changed to September and that can only mean one thing in
Formula 1: Peak silly season. The rumour mill is well and truly turning at the
Dutch Grand Prix as the future of a number of drivers looked to get a team for 2022.
The Dutch driver increased his value recently by winning the
Formula E World Championship. There are rumours of him joining
Williams, and CANAL+ suggest this will come true.
However, in the paddock at Zandvoort,
motorsport magazin report that de Vries has been talking to Alfa Romeo team boss
Fred Vasseur. Earlier in the week,
Kimi Raikkonen confirmed he will be leaving the team and F1 altogether. It's expected that
Valtteri Bottas will fill that seat if he leaves Mercedes. The future of
Antonio Giovinazzi is also indoubt meaning two seats might need to be filled.
Alex Albon
Over the last few days, it appears that former Red Bull driver Alex Albon is in talks with Williams. He forms part of the domino effect which is part of
George Russell and Valtteri Bottas' deal. However, CANAL+ report he will be in the Alfa Romeo.
