Most
Formula 1 viewers have their personal favourites. Some are fans of
Max Verstappen, others of
Lewis Hamilton. At a time when
social media is dominant in society, there are those who find it perfectly normal to make nasty comments online towards the 'opponent'. The
Mercedes team is calling attention (not for the first time) to what is going around online.
The German team had
Lewis Hamilton read some mean-spirited Tweets aimed at him and then asked the seven-time world champion for his reaction. At the end of the video, which can be viewed here, Hamilton responds to what he saw passed.
Wishing for positivity
The Mercedes driver says: "I just want to say to everyone that has an opinion, everyone has a right to an opinion. Anyone that doesn’t like me, that’s totally fine. You’re not supposed to love everyone in the world. I wish you nothing but positivity and I appreciate still the comments because they are pretty funny to be honest."
