In recent years,
McLaren has given a behind-the-scenes look at the Grand Prix weekend with the series Unboxed. For the first Grand Prix of 2021, it will do so again, with
Daniel Ricciardo making his debut.
McLaren has made nice steps forward in the past two years. The team, under the leadership of
Zak Brown, also experienced many lesser years during the period of Fernando Alonso, has been climbing to the top since 2019. This positive rise is of course not unrelated to the arrival of
Lando Norris,
Carlos Sainz and this year
Daniel Ricciardo.
The drivers that have been chosen provide a positive aura, but the management also exudes more confidence with the arrival of
Andreas Seidl and
James Key. This is also reflected online. Where McLaren was the laughing stock of the grid in the Honda period, the image has improved tremendously over the last two years, and that has partly to do with the Unboxed series.
