The battle between
Ferrari and
Red Bull Racing got off to a fierce start at the
British Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen,
Sergio Perez and
Charles Leclerc battled it out for P2, causing a number of touches.
Sainz got away comfortably at the start and this time managed to hold on to the lead. Verstappen, meanwhile, had to move wide to defend against Perez and Leclerc. The Mexican briefly hit Leclerc's car, causing damage to both drivers' front wings. Perez had to come in for a new wing.
Title rivals Verstappen and Leclerc also had a brief touch in their fight. The incident was noted by the
FIA, but there are no consequences for the drivers.
