It was obviously a great weekend for Mercedes, but how did all the other teams fair? Read below to find out our assessment after the Hungarian Grand Prix. Part 2 with the second half of the field is coming later.

Mercedes

In the closing stages of the Grand Prix, it looked as if they were going to have the perfect weekend. But it wasn't to be after Valtteri Bottas had some contract and dropped back. Still, they took two more points than Ferrari and have a lead going into the summer break.
Weekend rating 8/10

Ferrari

They were on course to dominate proceedings at the Hungarian Grand Prix following practice on Friday. But the rain came and it hampered their chances. Due to their persistence and pace, they managed to claw back two podiums at the end of the race. A good result in tough circumstances surrounding the passing of Sergio Marchionne.
Weekend rating: 7/10

Red Bull

It was meant to be their track, but what was meant to be and what happened were two different things. Ricciardo had the poor qualifying session, Verstappen the poor race. He retired in the opening stages. A lot of problems are down to Renault. What hasn't been spoken about is the Ricciardo fight back. Their chassis and aerodynamics are still up at the top.
Weekend Rating: 5.5/10

Renault

Other than the engine situation at Red Bull, they've had a quiet weekend. With just one driver scoring points Haas once again close the gap in the constructors' championship. We feel they've been getting way too complacent with their car turning attention to 2019 too early.
Weekend rating: 5/10

Haas

Both drivers finished in the points once again. They were the fastest car in the fourth place battle. Romain Grosjean managed to get into Q3 under the tricky conditions. Things are starting to look up for Haas if they bring an upgrade after the summer, they could really start to challenge Renault.
Weekend rating: 6.5/10
